Millenial Lyricist

Attention millennials! Your voices will be heard at the heard at the presidential inauguration next week -- inasmuch as a 22-year old poet named Amanda Gorman will read one of her poems at the ceremony to mark the occasion.

Gorman will be by far the youngest inaugural poet to date. Her resume includes a stint at National Youth Poet Laureate, a published book of verse, an appearance on MTV, and penning pieces for both Harvard and Nike.      It seems that the campaign to put forth 88-year-old Rhina Espaillat as inaugural poet fell short. This year, for at least a few poetic moments in the nation's capital, youth shall be served.
