     Emily Dickinson wrote thousands of poems, but almost nobody saw them before she died. "Publication -- / Is the Auction / Of the Mind of Man," she once dismissively wrote, using the Odd Capitalization that publishers tended to dislike. But not all poets shy away from publicity -- in fact, many of them have websites these days, and that includes Ada Limon.

     Limon has issued five books of verse and labors as a freelance writer in Kentucky. Her poem "Instructions on Not Giving Up" comes recommended by our librarian/branch manager Erin, and is read by the author below.
